Abstract

This paper presents additional observations on biotic components in and around the Upper lake, Bhopal. The major groups are Phytoplankton, Zooplankton, macrophytes, Aquatic Insects, Amphibians, Avifauna etc.
In floristic composition the total taxa 104, have been identified belonging to 85 Genera and 46 Families. We realize that among the above flora Trigonella occulta. Vermonia elegnifolia. Centella asiatica and Hygrorhiza aristata show very scare distribution (Endangered!). These plants are medicinally important, needing immediate attention for Germplasm Conservation.
