Abstract

A field experiment was conducted during rainy season 1990-91 showed that the soybean genotypes had significant variations in leaf area index (LAI) leaf area ratio (LAR). Leaf weight ratio (LWR), Specific leaf area (SLA), Specific leaf weight (SLW) and Crop growth rate (CGR). The genotypes showed pattern of linear increase in various physiological growth parameter upto general flowering and beyond that a sharp reduction was noted. Bragg and JS 82-1006 were physiologically efficient genotypes.
